Market Turnover:

The total market turnover decreased by 73.2%, reached at TZS 452.40 million compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 1.69 billion.

Top Movers:

CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 87.02% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were NMB, TCCL, AFRIPRISE and NICO.

Market Participation:

Local Investors dominated both the purchase and sales side by 99.09% and 99.77% respectively, while foreign investors purchase and sales was 0.91% and 0.23% respectively. This leading to TZS 3.08 million as the net foreign cash outflow.

Market Capitalization:

Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.189% equivalent to TZS 18,870.31 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease of 0.022% equivalent to TZS 12,981.10 billion. This is driven by Maendeleo Bank Plc, NICO and Tanga Cement.

Gainer & Losers:

Maendeleo Bank Plc was the only stock gainer in the market, its price increased by 2.6% to TZS 395. While NICO and Tanga cement were the stock losers in the market, their prices decreased by 1.41% and 2.22% to TZS 700 and TZS 1760 respectively.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totalling TZS 3.2910 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 3.4832 billion, encompassing 27 deals. The traded bonds included were 5-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and AZA Corporate bonds.
