The total market turnover decreased by 58.6%, reached at TZS 891.39 million compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 2.15 billion.
CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 41.71% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were DCB, VODA, AFRIPRISE and NMB.
Local Investors dominated both the purchase and sales side by 100.00% and 64.26% respectively. While foreign investors sales side was 35.74%, leading to net foreign cash outflow of TZS 318.58 million.
Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.226% equivalent to TZS 18,903.75 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease of 0.003% equivalent to TZS 12,984.58 billion. This is driven by NICO, AFRIPRISE and MBP.
NICO was the only stock gainer in the market, its price increased by 1.41% to TZS 720. While AFRIPRISE and MBP were the stock losers in the market, their prices decreased by 2.08% and 2.53% to TZS 235 and TZS 385 respectively.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totalling TZS 4.0040 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 4.1287 billion, encompassing 22 deals. The traded bonds included were 15-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and CRDB Corporate bonds.
